Basic Bust created on an armature. Students with first attach the clay to the armature to form the base of a head and shoulders that they will gradually sculpt and add clay to form the model bust. The class consists of Six 2 and a half hour sessions, with a 20 minute break half way. At the completion of the bust we'll learn to cut the top of the head, carve excess clay out, score and reattach the top of the head to form a fire ready sculpture. The cost includes the studio time, clay, use of armature, sculpting tools, instruction and optional firing. Since each sculpture is fired individually in a commercial sized kiln there is a $100 fee for firing.
