Though we have already made ceramics ready for you to come paint. You are able to come in and make your own using our potters wheel or making it free hand. Its a multi-step process where you make it we fire it in the kiln at around 2000 degrees and you come back to paint it where we then glaze and fire it again.
Clay Hand Building

For groups we recommend a reservation. For couples or 3 or 4 people, walk in is fine.
A session last approximately 2 hours, with instruction about basic clay building and the firing process. We then give you all the required tools and materials to being creating. It could be a hand made mug, piggy bank, relief plaque or mask.
The possibilities are endless.
You can bring in beverages and snacks to enjoy while working.
Once you've created your piece, it air dries for days, then it gets fired in a kiln at approximately 2000 degrees and comes out as an unpainted ceramic.

Well, Claytime has a one-time guided introductory class.In this guided half an hour session, you will learn to center a piece of clay on an electric wheel, open it, and work on the walls of a basic bowl. Your piece will air dry over a few days, then be fired in a kiln at 2000 degrees. It then turns into a white ceramic unpainted bowl.
At this point we call you to come paint it. After which we glaze and fire it one last time for you to take home and use.
The cost from beginning to end is $50 per person.

Custom Made Face Mask (New Service!)
We now offer custom made clay masks by casting a person's face and using the cast as a mold to create a ceramic mask.
Once it is out of the kiln and a white blank ceramic, you can paint it. $50 You can choose to paint it yourself or, for an extra fee, have a staff member paint it. |
